Imagine a place with all the infrastructure of the most luxurious resorts in the world, located on a paradisaical, extremely well-preserved island which can only be reached by private plane. Now imagine that this place is in the Gulf of Thailand, one of the most beautiful places in the world, known for beaches that combine the diversity of tropical forests with shallow, warm, clear waters. Certain Thai symbols are considered to represent the main characterstics of the country: the strength of the nation and the monarchy, the spirituality of the people, the wealth of native plants and animals  and the traditional architecture of the region. So let’s take a look at the main national symbols of Thailand.

The story starts in 2006 when Narueporn travelled to Toronto, Canada and immersed herself in art mostly through reading and self-tuition but also by visiting museums. One day she decided to craft a long necklace out of simple wire and beads. To her surprise, her simple but striking design caught the attention of several designer stores in Toronto who expressed a desire to stock the necklace straight away.

Thais are a very superstitious people and have many deeply held beliefs. Some of these revolve around colors and drive habits which, though developed historically, in many cases are still evident today. In fact there are a wide range of objects and situations which are commonly thought to be either good luck or bad luck depending on the meaning of the colors involved.
