The story starts in 2006 when Narueporn travelled to Toronto, Canada and immersed herself in art mostly through reading and self-tuition but also by visiting museums. One day she decided to craft a long necklace out of simple wire and beads. To her surprise, her simple but striking design caught the attention of several designer stores in Toronto who expressed a desire to stock the necklace straight away.

Some of our customers ask us whether Thai harem pants are really worn in Thailand. Some ask us whether they are not more Indian than Thai and others ask us whether these are traditional types of clothing for Thai women. 

To answer these questions we need to delve into the history of Thai fashion and indeed Thai history. A lot will depend on how we define traditional and how far back we want to go. In other words, how many years, decades or centuries do we need to roll back before reaching what we consider traditional.

Thais are a very superstitious people and have many deeply held beliefs. Some of these revolve around colors and drive habits which, though developed historically, in many cases are still evident today. In fact there are a wide range of objects and situations which are commonly thought to be either good luck or bad luck depending on the meaning of the colors involved.
